About a 30 minute drive to the North of Tuross, you will find Mogo. This former gold-rush town is now a heritage village, home to a thriving art and craft scene. Old gold-miners cottages are now galleries and specialty stores brimming with art works, jewellery, antiques, garden and homewares and pottery.

There are cafes and restaurants- one of our favourites is Grumpy Sweethearts where you can sit indoors or outside to enjoy your meal.

Mogo is also home to the Gold Rush Colony, a recreation of the 19th century gold rush village complete with mining equipment, historic shops and houses and a walk-through mine.

Mogo Zoo is well worth a visit. It is dedicated to the preservation of endangered exotic species. It houses a pride of lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, gibbons and meerkats as well as many other species. They have a wide range of “up close and personal” experiences available.
